Light And Late
So the theme for the first week is going to be 'light and late', with an emphasis on motivational strategies. In the past I haven't really been the best at motivating Chase, so to speak, and I haven't been quiet enough in my phases for him. The emphasized little issues that are going to be focused on are going to be his cinchiness and his sourness to being mounted. I created cinchiness in him by being too quick to tighten his girth, and I originally created sourness in being mounted by being too unfairly particular in how he offers his back to me. Going at it slow and right this time will hopefully make a difference over the next week. Riding games will be passenger and follow the rail with point to point, and online games will be point to point with focus from zones three/four/five.

Pilot
The purpose of this blog is to add structure to my horsemanship journey and to help hold myself accountable for it. I've been in the habit of starting and stopping projects my whole life, and getting back into horses and continuing my journey with my own is important enough to me to need to have something solid to put up for it. This is more than just a blog, and on the same reference, this is more than just getting back into horses-this blog is going to help me stay accountable for getting back into life, although it will be horse-centered for the most part.
As such, here are the rules for said blog-as I set my goals for my horsemanship journey, I'm going to post what my weekly goals are, and video those goals before and after the week is up. I'm also going to use it as motivation and may post personal, non journey type vlog posts as well, although those will be only for fun.
My first 'vlog' post will be posted on wednesday, with an introduction to the handsome red sorrel up top there as well as an introduction for myself and the first goal being given.
That being said, while I hope some people have interest in reading/watching, that isn't the main goal here.
